The siders are characterized by their compactness and resilience. The hydrodynamic shape of the tail and screws minimizes water resistance and increases performance. The siders are made of materials that are resistant to an aggressive environment such as seawater. The housing and screws are made of zinc-free aluminum bronze and therefore do not need to be coated or painted.

The Sider push systems are also available in seawater resistant aluminum. However, the aluminum version must be coated for use under water. The screws in this version are made of stainless steel or aluminum bronze. The concept of contrarotating screws increases the thrust in relation to the specific diameter of the tunnel. The hydraulic bow thrusters are suitable for continuous use. The electric bow thrusters have a limited duty cycle, which depends on several factors. Starting point is a duty cycle of 10 minutes per hour. However, this may vary depending on the version. Ask for the possibilities.
