The Rheinstrom sewage pump M 60 K is a self-priming diaphragm pump used to transport sewage from a sewage tank or as an on land unit. It is made of high grade bronze and equipped with heavy ball retaining valves. All other parts which come into contact with the conveying means are made of sea water resistant materials such as stainless steel and bronze. The pump is naturally self-priming when dry, nonreactive to running dry and applicable for continuous operation. The pump has to be mounted in an upright position to enable the ball retaining valves to close automatically. So the pump can convey bigger solid materials, e.g. rags.
